Want to Go?

If you'd like to go with us please start with these simple steps:

1. Before all else consult the Lord.  What is He saying to you?

2. Print out the attached application (page 1 and page 2) and bring it in to the Missions office at Calvary Baptist Church.

3. Get your passport. Go with two passport photos from Walgreens ($8), and two forms of i.d. (valid driver's lisence, birth certificate or social security card) to the Post Office or Marion County Courthouse and fill out a passport application.  Be prepared to submit two checks - one for the actual passport and one for the processing fee.  Total cost is approximately $119 for a six-week turnaround.  Prices are subject to change.  You may also go through the process online at www.passportexpress.com

4. Visit the Center for Disease Control website www.cdc.gov and your family doctor for all recommended vaccinations.

5. Begin your own spiritual preparation if you haven't already.  Spend time with the Lord in solitude and prayer that flows out of your own Bible-reading.

 Advanced

Description: These trips are not only the most physically demanding because of the hours of travel time (long flights, bus and 4x4 rides on intense roads) but also rough conditions (water and food are questionable). These areas are very remote. China will involve a risk of imprisonment or deportation. In all cases, the nature of working with un-reached people groups demands a high level of cultural sensitivity.

Zambia - Church planting among the Lozi of the Western Province.

1.   Join our South African brothers and sisters on evangelism/mapping trips to uncharted

villages

2.   Assist in chronological/doctrinal Bible teaching and discipleship among village churches

China - Church planting among the Dong in the mountains near Guilin

1.   Join in planting "Gospel bricks" and mapping

2.   Sharing the Gospel in schools

3.   House visits using pictograms and video
